1. A fresh set of scriptures
Although you have the option to take your old set of scriptures with you, having a new one can be your new memento for your missions. LDS Living says that it usually has a new leather cover that can surely last for the next two years while you’re on your mission.
2. Books
You can also bring all the books that you want to read. They can be heavy, but you can put most of them in your carry-on luggage. Doing so can help you save on weight on your check-in baggage. Doing so will also not require you to pay extra fees to board the plane.
3. A durable bag
One of the first things that you need to prioritize is a sturdy bag. Choose a size that’s perfect for any travel and has enough pockets and compartments to carry everything that you need. You should also check if it has a waterproof cover in case it rains.
4. Suitable pieces of clothing
Always plan your clothing according to your destination. It’s also best to keep an extra set of clothing in case your flight gets a layover. It’s also advisable to have a light jacket with you since it can sometimes be cold inside the plane.
5. A drinking bottle
You always need something handy to drink on your travel. However, you must ensure that your container doesn’t go over the limit set by the government. It’s best to choose bottles listed as “travel-size bottles” to guarantee that you won’t get dehydrated during a long flight. You should also bring a moisturizer with you to freshen your hands and face. The air inside the plane tends to get humid during certain seasons. Keeping your skin and you hydrated is the best way to keep yourself fresh.
6. An extra purse
You can also carry an extra purse with you everywhere you go. It should contain all the essential documents such as your passport, ticket, and baggage claiming receipt. If you think about it, having an extra purse that holds all your essential IDs will make it easier for you to identify your luggage if it gets lost. However, you must keep it secure all the time.
